Eli Bieri

 After studying frogs and salamanders around the U.S. and South America, my PhD research took me to Australia, where I was supervised by Dr. Jodi Rowley at the University of New South Wales. My project aimed to untangle the effects of severe bushfires on amphibians. At the Australian Museum, I'm currently leading a project that uses eDNA and genetic techniques to monitor endangered frogs. When I'm not chasing frogs, you can usually find me on a surfboard or reading a Steinbeck novel in my garden. The purpose of this blog is to share some stories from my travel and research.
